Our Wines
We are completely passionate about French wines.
We especially love Rhone and Burgundy wines and we are shaping our
wines to be in a true French style here in Woodinville. This has shaped
our vision to make older world
style
wines. Kind of a "new meets old" style - you might say!
Our Estate Grown Pinot Noir and Puget Sound wines reflect those made in
a cooler climate such as Burgundy and the Alsace, while the
wines we make from Eastern Washington grapes are inspired by those
made in the Loire Valley and the Rhone Valley.
2007 DIst
83 Mourvedre/Syrah Blend
$32 a bottle/$326 a case
SOLD OUT
This is our first release of a red blend. We named it DIst 83 after the defunct school district here in Woodinville that graces the old Hollywood Schoolhouse.
We blended Mourvedre and Syrah together for a traditional Southern French styled wine, particularily from a small appellation called Bandol. The wine is Fruity, herby, earthy and spicy. Medium dark color and a rich palate. We only made one barrel of this wine, so get it while you can!

2007 Red Mountain Mourvèdre
$30 bottle/$306 a case
Dark red and rich with cooked blackberries and violets on the
nose. The palate opens with red currants and licorice, followed by
persistent yet mild tannins. The finish is long and pleasantly
acidic. Mourvèdre is known for its long aging potential and this
wine is only beginning to show itself.

2007 Rattlesnake Hills
Syrah
Smoky and spicy on the nose. Deep and dark in color,
this wine is full of plums and dried red fruits, with a long
acidic finish. The Rattlesnake Hills Syrah perfectly
illustrates what a slight elevation gain and low crop levels
can bring to bear in terms of structure and acid.

2006 Red
Mountain Syrah
$30 bottle/$324 case

Jammy and loaded with red raspberries on the nose.
The candied fruit continues on the palate and evolves into a
long finish. Red Mountain fruit is celebrated for its
luscious ripeness and that's exactly what this wine brings
to the fore.

2005 Wahluke Slope Syrah
$28 bottle/$302 case
This beautiful 100% Syrah from Sagemoor's
Weinbau Vineyard is bright garnet red, with cinnamon and anise on
the nose. It's a little leaner than our other Syrahs - a bit more
old-world - with lovely red fruits on the palate - balanced with
terrific acidity. Aged in 50% new French oak, this wine has great
mouthfeel and a long finish.

In 2005 we blended the luscious dense fruit from Red Mountain with the structured and angular fruit from Rattlesnake Hills to produce this delicious and balanced wine. With a fruit forward nose, this Syrah expresses black cherries and berries, with subtle peppery notes. Vanilla notes soften the finish, while still allowing the candied fruit flavors to emerge.
